Spark Programme Partnership with Peabody- Empowering Young People
Quinn London is proud to have partnered with Peabody to support their award-winning pilot programme in Barnet delivered through Spark. Spark is an innovative educational charity based in Northwest London, dedicated to helping young people discover their strengths, build confidence, and explore fulfilling career pathways. With a strong focus on engaging students who are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).
This initiative began with a visit to Hendon Central School, where Quinn London joined Peabody staff and its partners to provide students with an overview of careers in social housing. We discussed the various career pathways available within the sector, including construction.
Following the visit, the group was invited to Peabody’s Waterloo offices for an Insight Day. Quinn London staff, including our Apprentice Administrator and Peabody resident Lubna Said, shared their personal career journeys, offering practical examples of what a career in construction could entail.
Five people were selected from the insight day to participate in a mentoring programme which included six sessions with mentors from Peabody and Quinn London, covered topics such as CV writing, early careers, life skills, and work readiness support.
The final phase of the programme involved placing students on a one-week work experience. We had the pleasure of hosting Georgi, who gained first hand experience, specifically working within our procurement and quantity surveying teams, as he considers a future career in law.
At Quinn London we take pride in these partnerships, allowing us to collaborate with our partners and create positive outcomes for young people.
