Quinn London Hosts Successful Briefing on Social Value and Sustainability Practices

Quinn London is pleased to share the success of its recent morning briefing, which took place on June 13th at The Cathedral View – at the Passage in Victoria. This event brought together over 60 participants from within Quinn London’s business and supply chain to discuss the future of social value and sustainability.

Bianca Tia Mesuria, our Social Value Manager, expressed her enthusiasm about the event “We are thrilled with the strong turnout and active participation from our partners” she said. “It underscores our collective dedication to promoting sustainability and social value within our industry.”

The morning event featured several insightful presentations on key topics such as the Apprenticeship Levy, Planet Mark Reporting, and the implications of recent changes to the Procurement Act on the construction sector. Quinn London is particularly grateful to Ajay Purbhoosing, Senior Account Manager at Workwhile, for his enlightening presentation on the support available to businesses looking to take on apprentices.

During the mornings event, our Social Value Manager emphasized that social value involves not just adopting new practices fundamentally transforming how we operate to achieve positive outcomes. An example, she highlighted was our venue choice at The Cathedral View – at the Passage, which not only provides excellent hospitality but also reinvests profits from its events to support essential services such as housing, food, and medical care for London’s homeless community.

Adam Euling, our Supply Chain Manager, remarked, “We appreciate the contributions of all the attendees to this event, not only to highlight Quinn London’s ongoing success but to further develop our partners’ understanding of the SV initiatives we, as a business, strive to be a frontrunner in delivering to the local communities we work in.”

Looking ahead, we will continue engaging with subcontractors and stakeholders to embed sustainability and social value further into its business practices.
