#MakeItVisible

At Quinn London, we understand the importance of creating not only safe but also supportive environments on-site, particularly when it comes to mental health. With construction workers 6 times more likely to die from mental health-related issues than from a dangerous fall.

As part of our ongoing commitment to workplace well-being, we partnered with Lighthouse, a leading charity promoting mental health in the construction industry, to host our first MakeItVisible Talk on our Homerton University Hospital project. This event provided an opportunity for over 60 of our operatives to take time out of their busy schedules to focus on mental health, engage in open discussions, and receive support from expert professionals.

“We were thrilled to be able to host this important event and bring such powerful speakers to the site. Mental health is a priority for us, and it was heartening to see so many of our operatives engaging in these discussions. We’re also grateful to our subcontractors for their support in making this happen.” – Nic Doig, Contract Manager for the Homerton University Hospital Project

We were also pleased to partner with Luminary Bakery, providing a selection of bakes for our operatives to enjoy. Luminary Bakery is an inspiring charity that supports women who have experienced homelessness, domestic abuse, and other life challenges. Through creative baking workshops, Luminary helps these women rebuild their lives, equipping them with the skills they need to thrive in employment and entrepreneurship in the London borough of Hackney.

Our Homerton University Hospital project is just one example of how Quinn London continues to foster a safe, supportive environment, both on-site and in the community. Through a series of regular toolbox talks, we keep mental health at the forefront of our minds as we undertake our work.
