Elizabeth House Food bank donations – Procore Partnerships Framework
As part of Procure Partnerships collaborative working group. Quinn London recently partnered alongside Vinci Construction UK, Tilbury Douglas and Milestone Infrastructure to fundraise and collate food bank donations for Islington charity, Elizabeth House.
After Christmas, food banks see an increase in demand for food parcels of 50% recently which is on the incline as the cost of living increases.
All four contractors work were tasked with the theme of ‘Cost of Living’ for January 2024. The group decided on a local charity such as Elizabeth House who provide a food hub which supports 200+ residents a week who visit the shop (Food co op) or receive a weekly food box.
Collectively the contractors collated £840 worth of food donations and financial contributions.
“Thank you for collecting and raising donations for our community Food Hub at Elizabeth House community centre, based in Finsbury Park. North London.
Elizabeth House supports over 200 local residents and families with essential food and products every week within the Islington Borough. Food insecurity is sadly a widespread issue, impacting more and more people in our local area since the pandemic and cost of living crisis. Since October 2023, over 50 people have registered with the Food Hub. We could not support so many community members, including babies and children, without generous donations like yours.
Our warmest thanks to all the people of Vinci Building, Milestone Infrastructure, Tilbury Douglas, and Quinn London Ltd who have kindly bought essential food and other items or donated. These donations will directly benefit or Food Hub members.”
